COMPASSION is a short film anthology in three parts, written and directed by Jeff Corpening, and produced by Corpening Media. Betsy Cardwell and myself joined Jeff as Producers, and have been diligently working to produce this anthology over the last six months. Part 1 entered and wrapped production on Saturday, June 23rd where we filmed in Asheville, North Carolina.
The day was hot and long, but we successfully captured everything we needed. We had an excellent crew, including the lead actor Victor Hough, Madeleine (1st AD), David Craig (DP), Sam Schumate (1st AC), Brittany Jackson (2nd AC), Robert Gowan (Sound Recordist), Kira Bursky (VFX Supervisor), Sam Zeilender (PA), Askar McMahon (PA), Sophie Berry (BTS photographer), and our gravel transportation team of Jonah Goldwag, Phil Koch, Daniel Ballard, and Mark Sundara.
COMPASSION Part 1: “Knowledge” is now in post-production. Part 2: “Empathy” and Part 3: “Action” are both next on the slate, and will be produced over the upcoming year.
