STEAMPUNK EDDIE #1 on ComiXology

STEAMPUNK EDDIE #1, written by myself with art by Jarrett Rutland, is now available online for $1 purchase on Amazon.com’s ComiXology, a digital distribution service for comic books, which can be downloaded on all smartphone devices. Excited and proud to finally widely release the book to the rest of the world!

Follow the embedded link above to the STEAMPUNK EDDIE listing on ComiXology, and read below the official series synopsis for the 8-part Escapist Art adventure.

Eddie would much rather investigate mysterious crashes with his dog Oscar than study for a boring quiz. He gets his chance to think outside the box when an encounter with a snarky time-traveling robot propels him to places he’s halfway heard about in school. The robot’s task is to return items stolen throughout history. If only there was a time pirate who’s out for revenge on the robot for messing up his plans… oh wait, there is! Eddie’s horizons are about to expand past the county limits.

CIGARETTE CITY // cover and update

Progress is being made on CIGARETTE CITY: RUDE AWAKENINGS, a gritty crime short comic in the genre vein of GRAND THEFT AUTO. Gabriel Fobert has been diligently completing digital color, and I have been lettering along behind him.

The cover for RUDE AWAKENINGS was recently completed, also by interior artist Gabriel Fobert. Depicted is a literal cigarette city with a burning skyline overlaying its tip above a sinister skull, all to show that, like THE TWILIGHT ZONE, this is a dark place of infinite possibility. Check out the undressed version below.

I plan to print CIGARETTE CITY: RUDE AWAKENINGS as a limited self-published run with an accompanying digital release at a lower price point in early 2018.

PROJECT MINUTE PIGEON // intro

Since last April, I’ve been working as an Editor on an independent comic series I’ll call Project Minute Pigeon for now. Minute Pigeon is a high concept, space spaghetti western epic written by Adam Mullen and illustrated by Mike Lombardo.

What is a space spaghetti western epic, you may ask? Just accept such a dusty, noodly description for what it is and let it whet your appetite and expectations. Providing everything goes according to plan, you’ll be able to read issue #1 in print or digital means within a year or so.

Check out concept art below displaying a prominent element of the series.
