STEAMPUNK EDDIE #1 on ComiXology

STEAMPUNK EDDIE #1, written by myself with art by Jarrett Rutland, is now available online for $1 purchase on Amazon.com’s ComiXology, a digital distribution service for comic books, which can be downloaded on all smartphone devices. Excited and proud to finally widely release the book to the rest of the world!

Follow the embedded link above to the STEAMPUNK EDDIE listing on ComiXology, and read below the official series synopsis for the 8-part Escapist Art adventure.

Eddie would much rather investigate mysterious crashes with his dog Oscar than study for a boring quiz. He gets his chance to think outside the box when an encounter with a snarky time-traveling robot propels him to places he’s halfway heard about in school. The robot’s task is to return items stolen throughout history. If only there was a time pirate who’s out for revenge on the robot for messing up his plans… oh wait, there is! Eddie’s horizons are about to expand past the county limits.

GOOD HAIR on Amazon Video

After enjoying an extended run on the festival circuit over the last year, notably at the Catalina Film Festival and Just For Laughs in Montreal as a guest of Kevin Hart’s LOL Network, GOOD HAIR has settled on a home for its online distribution. The romantic comedy short film is now available for free streaming on Amazon Video.

Kat Dee Holly and Fray Forde are currently forging ahead on their latest venture, FAMILY TRADITION, a short independent film about a delightfully dysfunctional family, set in Holly’s home of Gaffney, South Carolina. Coki Productions, previously known as Good Hair Entertainment, is currently undergoing a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo to raise production funds. Please consider making a donation.

TRUMP comic by J. Rutland

In August, I struck a deal with J. Rutland to assist in the promotion and distribution of his one-shot comic book TRUMP: THE ART OF MISDIRECTION AND CAPITALISM’S AMAZIN’ CHAMPYUN. The book has 24 pages, all written and hand water-colored by the artist, on sale for $5.

TRUMP can be found in various comic shops around the Asheville area, including Comic Envy, Haywood Comics, and three shops I landed through my own persistence: Orbit, Hero Hunter, and Downtown Books & News. I expect J. Rutland may upload the PDF to his personal website in the near future for online viewing once the prints have run their course.

The timing couldn’t have been better because Donald J. Trump himself came through Asheville on Monday 9/12 and spoke at the Civic Center. I would have seized the opportunity to distribute additional copies to unsuspecting Trump supporters if I hadn’t been working, though that was probably for the best. No doubt it was a lion’s den.

I agree with documentary director Michael Moore’s statement earlier this summer, “Satire is what will bring Donald Trump down.” I saw it on full display when naked Trump statues appeared in city centers across the country and when John Oliver’s “Donald Drumpf” episode broke HBO viewing records. Proud to support the cause.
