LOST DOMINION #1 comic book release

LOST DOMINION is a newly released space western comic book series written by Adam Mullen, illustrated by Mike Lombardo, and published by Lumo Station LLC. In the distant future where a devastating forty year long war brought humanity to its knees, an uneasy peace between two spacefaring empires, the Skran Imperium and the Naams Protectorate, hangs in the balance. On the brink of Interstellar War, a group of unlikely allies must join together to reclaim their LOST DOMINION.

LOST DOMINION is now available for digital download reading on Amazon.com’s ComiXology. The book consists of 48 pages for $4.99. Print issues will soon be available via KaBlam’s IndyPlanet direct printing and shipping service. Check it out, and if you enjoy the comic, please rate the book five stars, and share with a friend!

I was hired as Editor by Adam Mullen to reconstruct LOST DOMINION from a prose short story to comic script format. Over a few years, I helped strategize the comic’s construction from production to its eventual release. Along with James Strecker and Valentina Viesti on coloring, I assisted in the art department as Letterer, designing the word balloons and sound effects for the entire first issue. Check out the book if it sounds like your thing, and follow @lostdominioncomic on Instagram for updates on the series and additional chapter releases in the future!

ESCAPIST COMIX live launch

ESCAPIST COMIX held a livestream event on Friday, May 19th in celebration of its launch of digital reading platforms on sites like Patreon and ComiXology. As the Marketing Director, I joined Jarrett Rutland, CEO and founding artist, to broadcast a live stream on Facebook where we shared info on the brand, took questions and comments from the viewers, explained the new services, and teased upcoming projects and ESCAPIST’s convention schedule. We had a little over 100 people jump in and join us live, with close to 700 total views at the time of this post.

We introduced STEAMPUNK EDDIE, a time travel adventure series that I am writing with Jarrett Rutland on art, who brought me on to develop his original concept. The story revolves around Eddie, a pre-teen from a country town with a knack for exploration, joined by his dog Oscar, in a high stakes mission with drastic consequences that threaten the entire space/time continuum, at the direction of the robotic time guardian Wing who must return stolen items, scattered throughout the past. The first issue is in production, and set to be published in a few months.

On Saturday May 20th, Jarrett and I attended the inaugural Asheville Comicon which was held at the WNC Agricultural Center. We ran a table with the usual books and merchandise, talked with fans and newcomers, and promoted the brand to more Asheville locals, some of which had seen the books on display at stores such as Orbit, Comic Envy, and Haywood Comics, who were also present at the convention. I thought it was an extremely successful event for its first year and look forward to returning next time, hopefully with a few printed books of my own.

Thanks for the memories, Asheville Comicon. You guys really know how to have fun ???????☠️???☄️??>?

PROJECT MINUTE PIGEON // intro

Since last April, I’ve been working as an Editor on an independent comic series I’ll call Project Minute Pigeon for now. Minute Pigeon is a high concept, space spaghetti western epic written by Adam Mullen and illustrated by Mike Lombardo.

What is a space spaghetti western epic, you may ask? Just accept such a dusty, noodly description for what it is and let it whet your appetite and expectations. Providing everything goes according to plan, you’ll be able to read issue #1 in print or digital means within a year or so.

Check out concept art below displaying a prominent element of the series.
